• The Grand Commemoration as a half-day event on October 3, 2023

• Dr. E. Murugan as Secretary of Organizing Committee and his team to reach out to Former Heads, Retired Faculties, Alumni’s Students, Corporates, Industrialists, Well-wishers and Family members of Prof. M. Santappa to get their views/suggestions and to mobilize funds for the conduct of this event

• Padma Shri. Prof. S. Sivaram as Chairman of the Organizing Committee to identify and make arrangements to invite an Internationally renowned and eminent Scientist/Researcher in the field of Physical Chemistry/Polymer Science to deliver a lecture to commemorate the 100th Centenary Birthday of Prof. M. Santappa on 3rd October 2023

• Proposal to establish Professor M. Santappa Visiting Professorship Chair at Department of Physical Chemistry, University of Madras with proper approval and satisfying all terms and conditions of existing Visiting Professorship in the University of Madras

• Proposal to bring out a coffee table book that includes compilation of encomiums/ experiences/feelings/views/opinions/photographs about the life and times of Prof. M. Santappa from his students, well-wishers, beneficiaries, friends and near and dear ones

• Proposal that the present Seminar Hall at the Department of Physical Chemistry to be named as Prof. M. Santappa Seminar Hall including a life-sized photograph of bust of Prof. M. Santappa to be placed in the Department of Physical Chemistry premises with proper approval and satisfying all terms and conditions in the University of Madras

• The formal half day event to end with a lunch/high tea
